Two PhD candidates and one researcher attended the 10th Congress of Apidology “Eurbee” in Tallinn (Estonia), this September. The three-day conference was organised around 11 themes, from bee immunity to bee conservation, with no less than six keynote speakers offering insights into their research. Tristan Durand (PhD student, INRAe) presented on the “chronic and acute bee paralysis virus interactions in artificially inoculated adult honey bees”, while Estelle Bridoux (PhD student, ITSAP) shared her findings on the “effects of flower plantings on bees exposure to pesticides and pollination service in apple orchards”. Finally, Dr Fanny Mondet gave a presentation on the “impact of parasite and pesticide exposure on the production and perception of pheromones in the honey bee. The attendees also had the opportunity to take part in a city tour in the beautiful city of Tallinn.
